Why does it matter?
Kids love to see themselves in photos. It makes them feel seen and appreciated. So it’s great to photograph them on special moments like birthdays or at activities, but I promise you that when they're older they’ll treasure photos of their daily life so much more. Photos in which they can see dad chasing them around the house or mom steeling a kiss from them while she’s busy breastfeeding the baby. Not to mention photos of that wild game they play in the garden.
I want you to think about yourself. When was the last time you were on a photo laughing and relaxing with your partner? When was the last time your whole family was in the frame without dad or mom missing because they were taking the picture? Most importantly, do you have any evidence of how hard you are parenting every single day? Probably not. So let me help you with that, in the most joyful way possible
Because I’m a photographer myself I’m never in the photos with my family. I decided to hire Nienke so that all three of us would be in the frame during a day in our vacation. Nienke makes gorgeous photos of everyday moments that are actually very special. The photo session with her was so relaxed, she blended right in with our family. Next to that she really goes for the perfect shot, at one moment she even joined us in the sea!
As long as I remember I wanted an unposed family photo session since my son Rojus was born. But back then documentary family photography didn't exist. So years later Nienke made my dream come true. She is so kind and friendly and the kids were in love with her. We felt at ease having her around us all day long. And we love the photos even more than expected! She showed us our true selves and captured important family moments during our daily routines that we ourselves didn't notice anymore. Thank you, Nienke!
Nienke works very professional and blended in with our family so well that after a while we didn’t even notice that she was photographing anymore.
